Our Manifesto
This isn’t the America of yesterday. Making the same moves makes no sense when the game has so drastically changed.
The hour is late for our new beginning.
In this second millennium, Americans were promised maximal freedom, superpowered technology, and shared endeavors to awaken our vision for greatness. Instead, we’ve been subjected to an open-air prison, anarcho-tyranny and exploitation, societal collapse, and incompetent rule by resentful defectives.
But along with the manipulations by those who rule this late epoch, there has also been a spirit of uprising—a spirit of freedom and self-reliance baked into the technological and social evolution of the digital age. The narrative hegemony of legacy TV news has been undone. The corporate rent seekers and currency manipulators are nervously watching the growth of grassroots populism and blockchain technology. The rug of institutional trust has been pulled out from beneath the feet of malicious government agencies. More awaken each day from the fables of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
30 years ago, few questioned. 20 years ago, few acted. 10 years ago, few believed anything could be done.
Today, Americans are beginning to fight.
Knight Takes Rook is teaching our side how to fight as dirty as the enemy. Like knights on a chessboard, we’re your secret weapon—using crafty tactics to win against much bigger pieces. If you have the guts to shake the halls of power, we have the force-multiplying strength to topple them.
The people killing our country have names and addresses. The corporate ideologue or establishment gatekeeper who loves the status quo is vulnerable to our chaos. The walls of Babylon were impregnable, so Cyrus’ army dammed and diverted the Euphrates and crept under. Today’s Babylon system is once again ripe for disruption.
KTR is leading a new generation of revolutionaries who can unite and activate a scattered army. We’re a team of activists, creatives, operatives, memesmiths, and edgelords hailing from the Heartland, the Swamp, and the digital frontier. We make bold but secret moves that catch the enemy off-guard, identifying towers of strength and attacking covertly with next-generation tools.
Alexander Alekhine, one of the greatest chess masters of all time and an exemplar of KTR’s mission, once remarked: “I do not play chess, I fight at chess." His eponymous opening, Alekhine’s Defence, uses an enigmatic series of knight moves to weaken the opponent’s battle line. Alekhine personally used sophisticated espionage tactics to fight against communism in his home country of Russia. At one point he was captured and interrogated by Bolsheviks, and many think his later death was a Soviet assassination. Alekhine understood that politics is not a pastime. It’s combat.
Just like Alekhine in the 20th century, we’re in a 21st-century battle for the future of our country—and we’ve reached the endgame. KTR is prepared to fight with new weapons on a new battlefield. Anything less is just playing at politics.
